Hello, I'm Emma

I work as a project manager, am a parent, and live abroad in Toronto, Canada.

A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.

Origins of the Move

Moving to Canada wasn’t in the long-range plan. Like many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far larger.

The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more complex than expected.

The Adaptation Phase

Culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing were part of it. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt solid.

What Motivated Me to Create ExpatParenting Hub

Most information online leaned toward corporate relocation advice or shallow travel material. What was missing was honest, everyday family perspective.

This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in Canada.

What This Site Is (And Isn't)

This site is:

  • Hands-on insight gained from living in Canada
  • Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
  • Updated whenever real changes occur

This site isn't:

  • Not a tourism authority source
  • Not a sponsored review site
  • Not a generic travel blog

Looking Ahead

Our stay in Canada goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.

If you have questions about family life in Toronto or anywhere in Canada, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Best regards,

Emma
